Of sea and waves

You know sometimes I wish people didn’t have to stay in my head longer than do in my life

But I can’t help it. Some people linger on me longer than they intended to

And no matter how much you want to throw them away, the fragments of them stay, even if they didn’t

I’ve wondered, why are there so many things we want to say, but in the end, we don’t?

Another part of me answered that. Yes, because you’re afraid

You don’t like disclosing things or even talking about them because you’ve gotten too used to being closed. You don’t like feelings because they make you feel weak. But let me tell you this: they don’t

Sometimes I’m torn between letting everyone know how much I adore those things so people can come and go passing my gate.

Or build walls completely high so not every person gets to know me better.
